Kindergarten Readiness Assessment

Hybrid KRA Training: October 6, 2017

This hybrid training will be conducted on October 6, 2017, by Linda Bass-Johnoff, M.Ed., for newly hired kindergarten teachers for the 2017-2018 school year who have not received trained and certification in administering the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA).

In this hybrid format, teachers will attend a face-to-face professional development and then complete online assessments plus the content and simulation assessments on their own.

  • understand the purpose and structure of the assessment,
  • prepare for test administration,
  • use assessment technologies,
  • score items,
  • test security,
  • administer the assessment to children with disabilities and English language learners,
  • report and use assessment results, and communicate with families about the assessment and results.

Notes & Information

 

The face-to-face training will be conducted from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on October 6, 2017, and is presented by Linda Bass-Johnoff, M.Ed. The training will take place at the Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West in Toledo, Ohio. Twelve hours [12] of Ohio-Approved Credit is available for the training.

Participants can register through the Ohio Department of Education’s STARS portal or use the State Support Team Region 1 online registration form. If using STARS, participants must search and register for the individual date.
