COVID-19 & Inclement Weather Policies Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, most State Support Team 1 professional learning opportunities are offered online. When in-person training is necessary, proper sanitation, social distancing, and face covering protocols are utilized. We are carefully monitoring State Support Team health and will notify registrants of any event cancellations or location changes.   When we return to in-person training opportunities, please be mindful of weather conditions. If  hazardous driving conditions exist, call 800-346-8495 after 6:30 a.m. to learn if your workshop is delayed or cancelled. Should you feel conditions are too unsafe to travel, please leave a message to let us know you won’t be attending.

Literacy Academy

The Ohio Department of Education annual Literacy Academy is for districts, schools, and early childhood providers working toward raising literacy achievement. The Literacy Academy provides professional learning to support the use of evidence-based language and literacy practices.

Sibshops @ Alternate Learning Center

Having a brother or sister with a disability is for some a good thing, for others not-so-good, and others somewhere in-between. Siblings have much to offer each other and Sibshops give kids an opportunity to share with each other Siblings of children with disabilities are extraordinary. Mental Health and Social-Emotional Learning Summit

The Ohio School Boards Association is partnering with education groups and mental health associations to offer the Mental Health and Social-Emotional Learning Summit, Feb. 25 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

This free summit will offer learning opportunities designed for teachers, counselors, school psychologists, board members, administrators and other school staff.

The association encourages every district to bring a team, so team members can attend multiple breakout sessions. The summit also features a Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., where agencies will be sharing information about their available resources.
