Three-Day Team Training
This comprehensive three-day training will provide school districts and community school teams with essential elements for implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) for early childhood. The topics covered include exploring school-wide attitudes towards behavior, determining what is already in place in regard to behavior intervention, and choosing next steps.
During the training, teams will begin to develop a district-wide common office discipline referral form, three to five expectations, and a behavior matrix.
This training will be facilitated by Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West and State Support Team 1 staff who are certified to provide PBIS training.
Team Composition
Teams must be composed of at least one administrator along with a variety of teachers and/or related service providers. Additional team members such as paraprofessionals are welcome.
Registration & Information
PBIS Team Training will take place on January 24, February 21, and March 6, 2020. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m.; the training is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Lunch is not provided. There is no cost for this training. Eighteen [18] contact hours are available for the three-day training.

The Ohio Assessment Literacy Conference will take place on January 25, 2020, at Strongsville Middle School.
Presentations should emphasize tools and information that help educators better understand, interpret and apply K-12 assessments and include:
- Designing assessments,
- Implementing assessments, and
- Providing feedback from assessments.
Hosts Lake County Educational Service Center, Geauga County Educational Service Center, and sponsor Edcite are helping offer conference participants this opportunity to collaborate with peers, attend sessions on writing assessment questions, learn how to analyze data, and integrate technology. Registration is free, and the event includes lunch provided by the conference sponsor. Registration details are coming soon.
