During this training, participants will gain an in-depth understanding about interoception including the impact this sense has on the development of social-emotional skills and positive behavior. Additionally, participants will learn evidence-based strategies for improving interoception, including coverage of The Interoception Curriculum, a step-by-step framework for improving interoceptive awareness.

“Interoception, The Eighth Sense: A Practical Evidence Based Approach to Developing Self-Regulation, Behavior, Language, and Social Participation” will be presented by Kelly Mahler, M.S., OTR/L.

This training will take place on March 4, 2020. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. The training is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West, located at 2275 Collingwood Blvd. in Toledo, Ohio. Lunch will be provided. Six (6) contact hours are available for this training.

The cost for this training is $125 for ESC of Lake Erie West member districts; $155 for nonmember districts. The fee includes lunch and instructional materials.
