Early Learning Assessment Initial 2-Day Training

 

This training is designed ONLY for those early learning and development teachers who are required to administer the Early Learning Assessment for the 2019-2020 school year and have not been previously trained. This training will review the purpose and structure of the assessment, gathering evidence to use for scoring assessment items, administration for students with disabilities, administration for English language learners, reporting assessment results, communicating with families about the assessment and using assessment results.

The training consists of two days of in-person training presented by Heather Gaskins, M.F.C.S.

Topics covered will include

  • the purpose and structure of the assessment,
  • gathering evidence to use for scoring assessment items,
  • administration for students with disabilities,
  • administration for English language learners,
  • reporting assessment results,
  • communicating with families about the assessment, and
  • using assessment result

The training will be conducted from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on September 19 and 20, 2019, at the Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West in Toledo, Ohio. Twelve [12] of Ohio-Approved Credit is available for the training.
