Series Designed for Education Teams

An open book, a tree with flying leaves, and a little girl with baloons The series for education teams will present information and strategies that are designed to help education teams improve literacy for all students, including English Learners and students with disabilities.

By incorporating a systems approach, districts will be able to integrate this information with current school improvement plans, creating increased consistency and sustainability. Teams will leave on the third day with an action plan for integrating these supports.

Literacy Supports for English Learners: A Two-Pronged Approach will take place on October 15, 2019, February 20, 2020, and April 30, 2020, at the Findlay Inn and Conference Center in Findlay, Ohio.

Literacy Supports for English Learners: A Two-Pronged Approach is presented by Tamie Cruz with State Support Team 1, Nancy Osko with State Support Team 2, and Margo Shipp with State Support Team 6.

 

Team Composition & Information

Teams should consist of administrators, curriculum directors, and teacher leaders in order to develop a comprehensive, multi-tiered system of support. The two-pronged approach will be organized into instructional components and systems and structures.
