Transition Self-Review Series: Evaluating & Enhancing Transition Practices & Procedures


The Ohio Operating Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities require that Transition Services for students with disabilities be provided by individuals who have the requisite competencies, experiences, and training to meet the individual transition needs of students.

This four-part professional learning series is for special education intervention specialists, administrators, and staff who provide or coordinate transition activities and services. The focus on this series is to explore evidence-based practices that provide guidance in developing and enhancing transition planning and service delivery for the building and/or district.

The series takes place during the 2019-2020 school year on November 13, December 10 February 11, and April 28. Sessions are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Putnam County Educational Service Center in Ottawa, Ohio. Twenty-four [24] contact hours are available for participants who attend all sessions in this series. Questions should be directed to the State Support Team Region 1 at 800-346-8495.
